Being a capital city of India , it is a spot where you can enjoy the modern lifestyle as well as live an deprived routine. People who visiting Delhi first time find the city awe-inspiring and people regularly visiting it slowly get fascinating with exclusivity.

"Dilwalon ki Dilli" is a perfect name given to Delhi because it is well known for its history, culture and political significance and lies in heart of many Indians. Even not only Indians , large numbers of people from rest of the world visit Delhi just to explore its famous places , buy goods from the its dazzling markets , enjoy Stellar nightlife by staying in Luxurious hotels or visiting famous clubs and eat the delicious street food.

Delhi is a must visiting city in India. But for many tourists its creates confusion to decide which places they should visit in Delhi.

So , here I am sharing with you the list of Delhi famous places along with their locations and entry fees and hope that this list will help you out to decide the  famous places of Delhi.

List of Delhi famous Places :- 

1) Red fort :-

Red fort is most beautiful and world famous monument situated in capital city of India and also known as Lal Qila. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1648. It is built of red sandstone and famous for its massive enclosing walls. People from all over the world visit Delhi just to explore the beauty ,grandeur , attractiveness of the Red fort. It was designated as an UNESCO world heritage site in 2007.

There are many beautiful things to see inside the Red fort like Delhi gate , Rang Mahal , Mumtaz Mahal , Diwan-i-Aam ,  Chhatta Chowk , 17- century bazaar to buy silks, jewelry, gems, and silverware , Hammam, the imperial baths , Naubat Khana , Hira Mahal ,Tea House and Moti Masjid etc. To explore this things , people from India and rest of the world visit Delhi ever year.

It is the place where national flag is host by Prime minister every year on 15 August i.e  Independence Day .  Here ,the light and sound show is organized every evening and this show recreates the history of Mughal and events related to Red Fort.

2) India Gate :- 

India gate officially known as Delhi Memorial. It is located beside the Rajpath in New Delhi.Its comparison is done with Gateway of India in Mumbai and the Arch of Constantine in Rome. This most beautiful Memorial was built by Sir Edwin Lutyen and dedicated to soldiers who have sacrifice their life in the first world war. It is also popular for Republic Day Prade. The Amar Jawan Jyoti flame has been underneath the India Gate just to give tribute to the soldiers. 

Due to its rich historical background , amazing architecture and boating over there , It has become most popular picnic spot for Delhiites . Whenever tourist visit Delhi , they always visit India Gate and explore its beauty , architecture and capture the memory with them.

Ticket price :-  Free entry ,  only boating charges - Rs 50 for 15 minutes.

3) Hauz khas village :- 

Hauz khas Village is located in south of Delhi. and also known as the "Urban village of Delhi". It is a stunning place for the youngsters to hangout with their friends , tourists to visit and capture the beautiful views in their memories and even for the families to spend their nice time in a day. It is also a popular spot for shooting many songs videos , movies and Prewedding shoots etc , even many photographers go their to capture the beautiful images in their camera.

It doesn't matter whether you are shopaholic , foodie or nature lover ,this place has something for every caffeine  junkie!. It is also a famous romantic place for the couples. There are many spots to explore or things to do in Hauz Khas village such as :-  Masha , Maquina , Rabbit Hole , Deer park , Hauz Khas district park , Hauz khas Complex, Market , Rose garden and Hauz Khas Fort etc.

Every year ,“Heritage Walks” is organizes by Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage , where people pay certain amount of fees for participation in awareness. 

Once you visit Huaz Khas  , I asure you that memory of this place will last forever.

Ticket  price :- Free entry and it may be the tickets for some pubs and clubs.

Timing :- 10:30 am to 7:30 pm for places and for clubs - till 12 am

4) Garden of Five Senses :- 

Garden of Five Senses is not a park but it is place for many activities , capturing public interactions and exploration. It is located at Said-Ul-Azaib village, close to the Mehrauli heritage area in New Delhi. 

As its name suggests it is designed to stimulate the senses of touch, sight, smell, sound and taste and is a heaven for nature's lovers. Garden is divided into various themes parks , on one side of garden is Khas Bagh and other side is Mughal Garden. In middle of Garden there is series of fountains , some of them are lit up by lighting system. In addition to  these , there is food court for foodies ,  shopping area for shopaholic , pool for aquatic flowers , Solar energy park and beautiful rock carvings.

This is a must visiting place for those who come to explore the real beauty of  Delhi and specially for Nature lover.

5) Dilli Haat :- 

Delhi is the most popular city of India for shopping. This City has a several markets with diverse arrays of handicrafts , traditional clothes, decorative materials from all over the India. Dilli haat is the one of the renowned and biggest market of the Delhi. Government of Delhi has set up 3 Dilli haat's in different areas of delhi which enable the artisans  / craftmen to come , showcast  their work and sell their handcrafts. This place is not only famous for purchasing handicraft or traditional clothes but offers many cultural performances  and Indian food. It also gives us the feeling of weekly markets.

There are 3 Dilli haat 's in Delhi but out of them most stunning  and First Dilli haat is located in INA infact no other Dilli haat can replace the ambience and beauty of first Haat.

“ Dilli haat is much more than a spot which not only sells Handicrafts but many items”.

Some of the famous and most loving things which you can buy from Dilli haat are :- Bangles , jewelry boxes , trays , Antique show pieces , Phulkari Dupatta and Kurties ,kashmiri shawls , Beautiful hand made design baskets and Chikankari clothes etc.

6)  Qutub Minar :- 

Qutub Minar is the tallest minarets of India, built in 1193 by Qutab -ud -din Aibak . It is the UNESCO world heritage site in the south delhi . It is the most must visited tourist spot due to it one of the earliest monument. Many tourist eager to climb to the top of it , just to see the breathtaking view of the surrounding area. 

This tower have 5 storeys with their balcony. First three storeys are made up of red sandstone and forth and fifth are made up of sandstone and marbles. At the base of the tower. The first mosque of India i.e. Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque is built at the front of this tower.
